The Weight Loss And The Weight Gain

Millions of people struggle to lose their weight around the world. It''s hard for me to understand what it really means to be fat especially when I hear skinny girls and fit guys complaining they're fat. I wish I could look like a few guys. I don't want to take over three seats in the subway or not fit in a car. If that happens it is obvious there is a problem.

My situation is that I can't gain weight. I'm 31 years old and I look like a 18 year old kid. Some teenagers have a body that look more masculine than mine. When I do gain weight I can't maintain it. All I need is to get stressed with a problem or not eat properly for two or three days or drink a coffee, that will take care of it for sure - not to count with other secondary effects that I rather leave untold.

I want to look like those guys from International Male catalog magazines and Men's Fitness. It looks easy to workout when you look at them, but it's the long process that makes you give up or feel disappointed. But when I workout I feel different and look different. So, it's time now to put it to the real work.

So I came to an agreement with my roommate. We're going to workout hard. While he will be fighting the extra weight bringing it down to 130lbs, I will be fighting to bring my body to a healthy 170-180lbs. We are going to film and photograph our progress along the way. and place those videos on the blog. Eventually when we reach our goals I'm going to put all the footage together and make a documentary. It will be available on my CornerStone Pictures website. This challenge will for sure keep us motivated, especially when we know that people around the world will be looking at us and tracking our progress.

Green Cards And Privileges

I went through a lot of stress in this country to survive hunger and incurring bills that chocked me with problems. The fact I couldn't find a real job left me behind from any privilege this country could offer. I was angry, angry the country, angry at the President, angry at everything and even hated the idea of a Green Card. I was too hurt to care about it. All I wanted was a regular life. My friends who were illegal were going through the same struggle - Money.

I thank God today that I have my Green Card and I can work, but I wish all those friends I love so much could have the same opportunity and blessing I had. I helped a few, and they're hanging on to their jobs but others are now even prostituting to make money. I wonder if this is the kind of country the legislation wants to make, because people are not seeing any other way to get through their lives. The immigration bill is stuck and the ideas are not helping anyone. And seeing a friend selling his body hurts me more than a shot in the head.

Do something America. Give a chance to those who want to make a better life for themselves and improve this nation.

Being A Photographer

To stop time in a photograph is a beautiful thing, unlike the moving image of a video or film I learn each time I train my camera on an actor, model, dancer, or flower that I am freezing time. It's when you look at an old photo of yourself a in the future and realize that the moment will never happen again. It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. That is true. My roommate is able to write seemingly endless words based on a simple family photo, but I think he might not able to recreate that moment in time because there were things that happened before and after the photo was taken. I've seen some of his old, fading family photos, and when we've talked about them, I see a look of nostalgia in his eyes. It's this look that tells the story of his family and those moments that were not discussed. It's a lifetime story.

The work of making someone look good in a photograph or shooting a beautiful flower that may not be there tomorrow remains in the mind of the photographer.

How I wish photography was invented hundreds of years ago. What if the Atlantians had discovered that technology? Perhaps we'd be able to see images from the real Atlantians and Egyptians. If the technology existed back then, the images might have been in the microprocessors 9000 years ago.

As a photographer, I need to look closely at details right under my nose, and those just out reach that only my macro lenses can bring into focus. I will implement this discerning eye in my future filmmaking and creative writing. It's an adventure. There are other worlds to discover in the images of the frames.

The Presence Of God

The Lord revealed to me a new understanding about His presence this morning. Before I tell what he showed me, let me start by last night.

While I was at the altar of the church, I prayed asking God to be with me, like I always I do. I asked for forgiveness for my sins and to make me draw nearer to Him. The prayer didn't last more than maybe 5-7 minutes before I got up. When I got up I immediately heard a voice inside of me (it wasn't my conscience as I know this voice from before) saying, "Wait, where are you going?" I was shocked to hear that not in the air, but inside of me. I've been hearing this soft voice for many years but not as often as now. I might be crazy, or call me a liar, but the voice was there, and I know I'm not a lunatic. I know this voice. I sat down on the altar slowly and frightened at the same time, and responded, "Yes Lord," and listened and responded back to Him as if He was right there because in fact He was there. I felt I wasn't alone.

Now this morning I spoke to Him thanking for another day. Then He spoke and said, 'If there was a god that lived in the wind, in the nature, in the air and oceans, in your heart, then there would be no need for an object or an idol so you can see Him, because He is everywhere around you and at the same time inside of you." Isn't this a great God that you don't have to carry Him with you wherever you go, but He carries you wherever you go.

Then I understood, His presence. People sing songs and pray and many only have the knowledge they're singing to God, but there is a difference when we do it to someone we know and we talk to Someone we are aware of the presence.
I understand now how Moses and Abraham, and even King David felt when they heard his voice.

There are more things I've heard from Him two days straight, that cannot tell in here or anyone, but they're wonderful. He is quiet now, but I know He'll have a whole lot more to say soon.

Costumer Service Jobs - 311

I started a new Job working for the city for 311 and today I was suspended for the day because of an impatient caller who assumed I was not understanding her quite enough to provide the information she needed.

Out of courtesy, and a good 311 operator as I am, (at least I know that) I went ahead and even gave her more information related to her question which she completely ignored by turning to her children asking them loudly to listen to their teachers well to what they ask them, because if they don't they can't provide the right answers.

Now, by being polite, I was put aside for the day because when I called the supervisor for help, I said she was being an ass! I did not say that while she was on the call, she was on hold. I understand that the policy of the company does not allow cursing or any fowl words on the floor. The problem here is that I meant to say dumb or unlearned lady who refuses to understand what I'm trying to tell her, and by asking her probing questions to make sure of what to look for in the system.

I was misunderstood for what I meant, but I understood for what the word really meant in its context in English -- ASS. Now ASS in my country means BURRO, which is not a foul word but an animal -- Donkey. WE call people BURRO when the person refuses to listen and understand you, or she understands nothing at all. ASS to me could be butt, which is foul, but as far as ASS meaning dumb, it totally caught me by surprise.

I learned my lesson for today, and I'll make sure I'll keep that out of my mouth. Luckily, the lady was generous enough to allow me to keep my job, otherwise I would be looking for a new one tonight because of an woman is being an ASS, and now I mean what I say.

For those who call 311 to bitch and moan about anything and any issue, please don't waste your time with us if it's not a big issue and you know you could solve it yourself. We help you with information, we don't fix problems. Screaming and judging the person on the phone who is trying to help you the best he or she can it is not going to help your cause.

311 provides information that is available on our screens nothing more than that and anything beyond what we see can't be done. PERIOD!

Frustrating Online Advertizing

It is so unfair how the owner of craigslist.org does not protect his subscribers who post everyday on his site.

Competitive business owners or automatic freaks on the website do not cease to police the site waiting for someone better than them to flag their ads for instant removal from the various classified categories.

It's becoming so annoying that many people are starting to depart and search for other sites where they will not be subject to being constantly flagged by immature people on the internet. Two alternatives to craigslist are Theadcloud and Backpage, although not as visible and highly trafficked, are much safer to post.

What can Mr. Craig Newmark do now that he's profited from advertisers who pay to post and get flagged? The ones who post for free don't stand a chance against anonymous online attacks and petty jealousies.

A little pop up appears in your e-mail inbox with the warning message: "Your ad has been flagged by Craigslist users, " Your ad has been removed by Craigslist Staff." There have been times where I've posted the same ad thirteen times with no success.

Is it worth the time spent?

Too Far In The Future To Remember

Today, while I waited for a friend to come home for a visit, I looked at the screen of my computer and felt bored. Then just as I always do, I opened my Outlook and started to play with the calender. I clicked on the fast forward buttons and left it there until I felt I was too far in the Future.

I observed the years counting up and imagining the world changing in fast motion, like a time machine. 2015, 2020, 2030, 2050 and when I reached here, I imagined different world and dark. I remembered I would be 76 years old, I probably would not reach that far. I imagined I'd be old and wasted, tired of life while other younger people will enjoy those years. When the world reach the year 2080, they will talk about those who lived in the 20s, 30s, 40s and the 50s, but not of the 20th century, but of the 21st.

I left the button take me up to the year 2115. I had let that go further, I'm sure it would not end. As a photographer, filmmaker and writer, these numbers just seemed to create a vision in my mind and my heart, a vision beyond what I can imagine.

I wrote myself a note on the year 2115. I know I will not be here by that time, but maybe my hard drives will stand the test of time. Will DELL still be there by then?

This is what I wrote on July 28th 2115 at 8AM: "Only God knows where this computer and its hard drive will be when I'm gone before then. Hopefully, CornerStone Pictures still exists.

"Only time will tell how far this can go.

"Written by Jorge Silva, born in 1975 and wrote this in the year 2007."

If the computer still exists by then it will sound an alarm one day before. Maybe I'll hide the hard drive somewhere with lots of secrets in it before I die.

Unfair To Others

It's so sad to see how other people suffer at the look of the others.

The biggest pain of the homeless is not living in the street, because, they are still live and are helped once in a while, but the biggest pain is to feel different and rejected by society because you don't smell good and you're dirty. If one is to talk about some one who is homeless than help. That person has no choice. I'm sure he/she would love a hot bath and a wonderful shower and remove the crust of dirt on their bodies. Instead of talking, act upon it.

Last week I began a new job at a French restaurant, and I learned how much food is wasted in the garbage container every single day. I have no money to buy food, I see beggars asking for quarters to get something to eat for that day, and the people still pass by them pretending they don't even exist. I can't take an old man out of my mind that I saw today, a black male around his fifties, dragging his feet and wearing light brown shirt and thin linen pants asking for money. While I was fixing the last table outside the restaurant, I imagine the table 60, the last one, because I'm still memorizing their numbers, I observed him walking. I expected him to return past the restaurant to see if he was lucky. But I don't think he would imagine that in New York the selfish owners of the restaurants would ever let go of already paid food ready to be dumped in the container.

It hurts my heart to see girls and women who order great nutritious and expensive plates and only eat half of it. You wanna eat, not getting fat, then eat, it will be worse if you don't, other wise you'll disappear. Don't order it at all. Buy a snack at the grocery. You're better off. Vegetables do guarantee the same diet you want to do even if you eat any kind of fat and meat and bread. If the veggies are present in the meal, there is no danger of getting fat. But how far does the intelligence of the American people go? With some much reading the newspapers and watching the TV information and read books by famous intellectual wise people who don't know how to take care of their own lives with their own advices, Dr Phil like people, and yet they don't know how to eat and what to eat.

Intelligent people don't throw food away. They'll save to eat it later or give it to some else like some do.

Prophecies do tell that one day the world including the US, will go through times of famine. There will be some much hunger that these "Martians" will suffer and will remember of all the water and food they have destroyed. If they had conserved that food, they would have enough for the rest of their lives.

Perhaps they never were hungry and starved, spending 2 or 3 days with an empty stomach, drinking water and eat a piece of bread if you find one.

When I look at the homeless this is what I feel for them. Pain. I know their pain of seeing others having what they don't have, observing people spending money in useless things at the store and all they ask is for a quarter.

At the end, when they lie on the hard floor, tears run down their eyes and they only dream that one day it will be them who will own the store and have those unfair people buy from them.

May God bless the homeless.

You Get What You Pay For

One simple comment on craigslist posting. It's amazing how people associate sex with anything we have to offer.

It's sold, offered, it's shown, and the competition rises when the disgusting addicts drown the site with crap. It's such a great website for business, but everyone thinks they can offer the same product we have on the same site. The competition? Muscular boys and free sex. Even the girls, all they ask is for a rich man to come and pick her on a white steed. I posted there for a girl who replied, but never responded. I would never marry a woman who is interested in what I have. She'll be lucky if she will finish her first night with me.

What does massage have to do with sex and release? And photography with getting naked doing it? Copycats who copy you texts and pictures. Picture collectors. They want nothing but to expect you to send them a naked picture for their "psycopathic" file of naked boys and girls. Go see a doctor. Too much monkey business and rabbit sex is cooking your mind.

Bad business. People in search of dirty sex and pleasurable things destroy everybody else's businesses. In the end, the "clients" are the ones who get tricked by not getting what they asked for freely, and get even robbed.

"You get what you pay for"

Sentenced to death

I have been thinking when I watch certain movies and read the news of criminals sentenced to death.

I know it is painful to lose someone in our family by the hand of a merciless man, but is it worth the killing, will it bring anyone back?

Sentences to death have been brought forth since the beginning of time. God's people stoned their sinners and blasphemers with stones; later the crucification was invented, a slower death, but even if you were taken away from there, the Tetanus virus would asphyxiate your lungs like poison. Jesus caught this disease when He was crucified. Psalm 22 explains how hard it was for Him to stand in there, hard to breathe, and the thirst it caused, although on that morning was not hot. Jesus commanded His own death after six hours on the cross, but normal people would face the their slow death with pain.

Later the Roman Soldiers would break their legs for them to die faster. Pain would not let them stretch their legs to uplift their bodies to ease the weight caused on their arm and hands. Since they were pierced in the middle of the forehand, what we call today wrist, the nails would rip through the nerve connected to the middle finger of each hand. This nerve is the only nerve of our arms and hands that are connected straight to the brain. This also caused a one hundred percent pain experience until they died. Their hearts would not hold all their pain and would give up on the victims.

After this, for centuries people were burnt alife or even eaten by the lions. Thousands of others even tortured by the catholics priests in the Inquisition of the Roman Empire for the twelve hundred years.

Queen Isabel was tortured to death for being a Christian (non Catholic) for worshiping God and not the "Holy Mother", and they pulled her stomach out through her mouth. They burnt the Queen still alive after this.

After these, they brought forth the beheading. Instantaneous death, like our Apostle Paul faced. Did these beheaded people feel their heads being cut off? Scientists say that when people were beheaded, their conscious minds were still awoken for at least ten seconds. What did they feel seeing eyes rolling on the floor out of control. Some times I try to imagine.

Those who were hanged by the neck had shorter life span though. The weight of their body breaks the cervical chord causing their throat to rip. I can't imagine what they feel in the moment they are pushed down the horse or hung on a tree, or even on a floor that opens with a lever beneath their feet that is pushed at the ticking clock of the observers. Does the victim hold the breath, does he close his eyes? Does he pray, or cry for a few seconds? What to they feel? What do we gain after all? Safety? Are we really safe? Our American young people people are dying in the deserts of Iraq, and we are still threatened and bombed, and more and more poor people are sleeping in the streets because their bosses are some racist freaks. People are labeled and are judged by what they look.

What and who are the true criminals? The ones in jail or the ones who commit injustice against others every day? Some convicted people are in jail for trying to help their families, trying to change their situation, and often they are even innocent. We are guilty until proven, yes, but they're still in there. In the meantime people outside are still struggling to have a living while companies and bosses take advantage of everyone.

Does NASA need to make human test in Mars with a probe? Take these freaks' money, build a spaceship for them and send them there so they can die "IN PEACE". May the Martians rest their souls.

And now the death penalty has become more technological and less painful. The victim lays on a comfortable bed, he is injected with a poisonous liquid and falls asleep. He never wakes up again. A hand clap for everybody, now the family's victim got their relative back from the dead, right?

Again, sometimes the criminals laugh when they know they are going to "sleep", sometimes they look sad because they know they will never wake up. Do they feel afraid, fear, or wondering?

I'm not on anybody's side if you want my opinion, I'm just wondering.

Reaching a goal

Reaching a goal is not as easy as we always plan, especially when it involves money. When you think you got it all you needed, actually there is some one else behind you waiting just to take away what you've just saved.

It's a sad feeling when you sacrificed time and strength to earn this money with jobs and skills and when you reached your goal, actually you did not. It's an an illusion. It feels like not wanting to fight anymore. Tear run out of the heart. Can we ever reach where we want to be, if every time we try a devour takes it away?

I only hope I'll make it in time before everything and everybody else become tired of waiting. I want a regular life, I want normal steady life, a car, a home, a career.

Americans fight against the Immigrants, but they forget they also want to overcome and be someone and help the family, be self-sufficient.

I have a dream, not to fight against America or its laws, but to grow with the country, with the technology, and the resources that are offered to me.

God Bless America!

My mother's traits

Today I was talking with a church member and we talked about my mother. I remembered of how I used to observe my mother when she was singing and conduct her life and dress, and talk to people and humbleness.

I used to be watched singing when I was still a three year old baby. People would make a circle around me to watch me singing and clap hands. My mother would stand in the back looking at me smiling proud. She used to sing in the choir at church and she has the most beautiful voice in the family.

I remember no one could sing at my grandmother's but her. She was always the singer. I miss hearing it, I miss hearing her laugh out loud, I miss making her proud when I used to bring good grades from school, I miss speaking about anything with her.

When I was asked about my singing and ability to play and understand music without the notion of a musical note, I answered, "My mother. She has the ability. I inherited that from her." My beautiful breast that upheld me till I left her for this country.

MISSING YOU MOM, I hope you feel it too.

Limousine try

I was invited to go to a wedding last week. Although I wasn't known by anyone I had fun especially with my friend Kenny.

But the most amazing thing for me and cheesy for some of you, is that I rode a limousine for the first time. It is said that there is a first time for everything, but most of the things we don't even want to try, like jumping from a bridge. Not everyone will try that in their lifetime.

But this time I did try a limousine and never thought I would ever. It was white and long. I was not allowed to drink anything but the ride was worth it. We rode the limo for about an hour till we finally found the place where the wedding was going to take place.

Although it is a beautiful vehicle, I came to the conclusion that is it nothing but a car, just like any other No illusions or anything magical. Not very comfortable, but the prestige of riding it and seeing me inside of one of those is a good feeling.

I doubted of the driver sometimes, but I knew he was a professional, we would be safe. It's just that I rather drive the cars then to be driven. It sounds weird but that's only me.

Miracles

Today at church when I was praying for a lady I call Auntie, I looked at another by her side and felt a flame burning inside my chest. I couldn't help it. She was seating there while everyone else was standing in prayer and she was in pain. I approached her and laid hands on her head after have asked God to consecrate them. We never know what we've used them for when we deal with holy things like these. I prayed and felt that power that Jesus spoke about in the book Luke coming out of me and felt it enter in her body.

The evil spirit was chaining her body to a four legged walker that makes her depend on whenever she walks. She shook as if another identity took her body half way.

We have spoken before and she had been operated to the back, and the doctors could not help her. She is always in pain and couldn't walk without help.

After I prayed I told her to get up, not expecting anything to happen. I did that without thinking about what I was doing, and she got up from the chair at the first try and she walked back and forward on her own. She hadn't been able to do so in ten years. She was happy and crying.

This was my first walking miracle I've ever done in church In the name of Jesus. I heard His voice speaking. "I want to use you." It makes me cry. It makes want to be right, to be pure, to be closer to Him.

I'm not and don't feel even worthy of being used by Him this way. I'm sad and I'm happy. I'm sad because I'm a sinner and I wish I could be more and better for Him, I'm happy because He still loves me and wants to use me to bless others.

I love You God, Praised be Your Holy Name Forever!

Independent

Some times I fear my own life. I hear so many truths, so many helps. I've been advised too many times in church, and where those advises took me is where I am now. It begins with a marriage that ended up in anything but crap.

Even now, outside of church and with no apparent reconciliation with the wife, (not that I expect any) both still seem to take over my life as if it is not my own. I depend on both for two personal reasons. If one falls apart, I'll be screwed either way.

I keep on frustrating my best friend who wishes the best for me, and I know I could do anything I want with my life and move in with him and live cheaper and freer, and cared.

Why is it so hard for them to understand that I'm making a new decision to benefit me and another person?

I live continuously in fear. Sometimes I don't know what each day will bring me.

I wish I could disappear, help others forget that I exist, and then return to start over again.

Today I pray, that God may help me to be strong, to be free, and INDEPENDENT.

PLEASE, LEAVE ME ALONE!

Who Wrote the Bible? Part IV

The common question still lights up in your mind. "But, who wrote the Bible?"

Does it really matter? A person like you and me must have written it. Is it true what is in the Bible?

You don't ask about the History books. You know their contents are real without even reading them. But you question the Bible even without reading it. You go by the opinions of others. I watch bad reviewed movies that enjoyed, I enjoyed so much I even have my own copies.
The Bible is not a religion, or a prison; it's a manual for you life, it's freedom.

Imagine you bought a very complicated electronic and you seem not to understand how it works. What do you do? Do you throw it away? Do you put it inside the drawer and leave it there for twenty years and say, "CANON gave me this gift, I want to preserve it." No, you look for the manual and learn the way out of your problem.

Have you ever been stressed, facing a big problem you didn't know how to overcome? Well, you didn't have to take it so hard on you. Your manual was right there beside your bed and you didn't even look at it. Open it, the solution is there. It contains words, events, and teachings that will lead you to a better life.
